10 states of Dar es Salaam get medical equipment

The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Albert Chalamila has handed over medical equipment worth Tsh 691 million to the ten states of the Dar es Salaam Region.

The handing over took place yesterday at the MSD Depot located in Mabibo, Dar es Salaam. The members of parliament from those states have been handed over the equipment and said President Samia Suluhu Hassan is disgusted when he sees the deaths of mothers and children and that is why he has directed the medical equipment to meet the health of the mother and child.

He said the equipment provided and handed over included delivery beds, beds for patients, dining tables, drip stands and mattresses.

RC Chalamila has named the ten states that received the equipment as Ilala vitapele for ‘Gerezani’ Dispensary and Mnazi Mmoja, ‘Segerea’ Kinyerezi and Zingiziwa, Ukonga Guruka and Zingiziwa, Kigamboni Kichangani and Maweni Dispensary, Kawe Bunju, Kinondoni Kigogo and Kijiyonyama, Kibamba Mpigi Magohe and Amani, Ubungo Sinza hospital and Ubungo hospital.

Other states are Temeke, Yombo health center and Buza health center, Mbagala Mbagala health center Mbande dispensary.

The representative of Dar es Salaam Regional Parliamentarians, Mussa Zungu (MB) giving thanks, said he is grateful for the efforts made by the President to ensure that citizens get medicine and medical equipment on time.

Chief Medical Officer of Dar es Salaam Region, Dr. Mohamed Mang’una has said that he will ensure that they provide the best services to the citizens, especially to improve the care of mothers and children as the honorable president wants.
