The ‘Marathon’ organizers should be creative -RC Chalamila

The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Albert Chalamila has asked those who organize various ‘Jogging’ in the country to be creative in the type of exercise, methods to get people, participating groups and sponsors with the aim of increasing their income.

This was said yesterday by the Governor of Dar es Salaam in a short trip organized by the College of Financial Management (IFM) right after the ‘Aluminum Marathon’ which was organized by employees and students who studied at IFM who are currently working in various areas in the country.

He said to make improvements in walks and involve many groups and people of different cadres to be able to spread his message through his slogan to reach far because exercise is important in Human Health. In those marathons, Chalamila has been able to run 5 Kilometers and the funds raised have been sent to the development of the College.

The Secretary General who deals with matters of Policy, Parliament and Coordination Dr. Jim Yonazi, who is also the Chairman of the union, said that the marathon involved people who studied IFM, friends to bring together the members of IFM and added that the race contributes to the development of the College and the Nation, he also thanked all the sponsors who gave themselves in terms and resources to make it possible.

Vice Principal of the College Dr. Mnzava thanked the Regional Governor for joining them in the race where he said it was a historic event for the first time since the college started in 1972. He assured the Regional Governor to continue the race by encouraging various groups to participate because exercise is health as the slogan says “Change your lifestyle for better health”
