Muhimbili National Hospital Upanga & Mloganzila has conducted risk management training for its experts aimed at enabling them to identify indicators of service risks and control them early so as not to affect the delivery of services at the hospital.
Opening the training, the Executive Director of Muhimbili National Hospital, Prof. Mohamed Janabi said the training is important as it will continue to stimulate accountability among staff, change and enable them to provide better services to the public.

Prof. Janabi said one of the biggest risks in service delivery is fraud and corruption, which can lead to the loss of trust by the public towards the hospital.
Prof. Janabi noted that the hospital management has put in place various fraud control systems where services are provided equitably, fairly, without knowing each other or bribing service providers, something that has continued to build the hospital’s reputation both locally and abroad.
“Muhimbili has continued to be a leader in providing quality services in the country due to citizens recognizing their responsibility, committing themselves and ensuring that experts provide services on time, handling customer complaints, improving the interests of employees and continuing to collaborate with various stakeholders in the service delivery” said Prof. Janabi.
In the training, which involved more than 230 experts, various topics were presented including the meaning of fraud, types of fraud, indicators of fraud, how to prevent fraud and how to deal with fraud.
