Dodoma: Dodoma Urban Constituency MP, Mr. Anthony Mavunde has donated 50 computers and 50 printers to government secondary schools in Dodoma City as well as a modern computer laboratory to Viwandani Secondary School, promising to make Dodoma a leader in the use of educational technology.
Mavunde said this today at a ceremony to hand over the equipment held at Viwandani Secondary School.
“We commend the government under the leadership of His Excellency President Dr. Samia Hassan for major infrastructure improvements in the education sector in Dodoma City, where Tsh. 16 billion has been allocated for this financial year.
These computers and printers will stimulate achievement and build
the capacity of our students.
“In these computers we have put all the national examinations from 1988-2024 for Form II, IV, VI and QT, additional books and textbooks, Simulations for Science subjects, video tutorials for various subjects and notes for all subjects”, he said.
And the Dodoma District Commissioner, Alhaj Jabir Shekimweri has commended the great work being done by MP Mavunde in the Education sector and urged the Dodoma City Council to ensure that it allocates funds to connect all schools in Dodoma to the Internet.
The Viwandani Ward Councilor, Mr. Jaffar Mwanyemba has thanked MP Mavunde for the renovation and installation of laboratory equipment and urged students to use the opportunity to increase their knowledge.
