Deputy Minister of Energy, Mrs. Judith Kapinga has called on Energy Sector executives to build the capacity of service providers implementing various energy sector projects in the country.

Mrs. Kapinga said on February 23, 2025 while speaking to TANESCO employees and heads of ministry institutions before participating in the visit of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, which is expected to begin today in Tanga region.
“We want these projects to be completed on time and with high quality, contractors should be built to perform so that the work is seen to be done”, said Mrs. Kapinga
Mrs. Kapinga commended REA for completing the electrification of all villages in the country and stressed that ongoing projects and those that are due to start this financial year should be implemented on time.
“It is very important to manage contractors strongly from the beginning so that we are careful with them so that these projects to bring electricity to the suburbs are completed on time”, said Mrs. Kapinga
Ms. Kapinga has urged energy institution executives to have good relations with the public, especially when approving development projects in their areas.
“Strengthen relations with the public when approving our projects and explain to them that the Government will compensate all the areas where the projects were approved”, said Ms. Kapinga
