Kikwete inaugurates Bukombe school hall

The Retired Fourth Term President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete has congratulated the people of Bukombe District, especially Bulangwa Ward, for having a beautiful and modern hall that will be used for various social activities.

President Kikwete said on February 8, 2025 in Bulangwa Ward, Bukombe District, Geita Region while laying the foundation stone for the hall building at Bulangwa Secondary School.

Explaining about the hall, President Kikwete said, Dr. Biteko was pleased with the hall of Lugoba Secondary School located in Chalinze District, Coast Region which was built by the Company and MMsteel so he spoke to the Company and later the construction of the Bulangwa hall began.

“I would like to congratulate the people of Bulangwa for getting a large and modern hall, if I get the chance I will come again to visit this hall”, said Dr. Kikwete.

He congratulated the President, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for her efforts to improve and develop the education sector in the country.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko has thanked President Kikwete for participating in the event which coincides with the Special General Assembly of Bukombe Constituency aimed at reporting on the implementation of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi Manifesto in Bukombe Constituency from 2020 – 2025.

Dr. Biteko has mentioned the reason for building the hall is the presence of Bulangwa Secondary School and VETA College which are currently being built in parallel with the presence of various Government institutions near the area.

“We thank you very much for helping us build a modern hall and we ask you to come visit us one day when this hall is complete”, said Dr. Biteko.

The Headmaster of Bulangwa Secondary School, Sane Machembe said the construction of the hall began on May 5, 2024 and is expected to be completed on March 30, 2025.

“This hall has the capacity to serve 3,500 to 4,000 people at a time and will be of great benefit to this school and the community, such as students having a good and safe place to gather together at any time”, said the Headmaster.
