The Secretary General of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Ambassador, Dr. Emmanuel John Nchimbi will lead a CCM delegation on an official visit to Ethiopia from January 29 to 31, 2025.
A statement obtained in the city said the trip was based on an invitation from the country’s ruling party known as the Prosperity Party.
The statement said that apart from attending the Second General Conference of the Prosperity Party, Ambassador Nchimbi’s visit aims to further develop and strengthen the long-standing relationship between Ethiopia and Tanzania and their governments through the two ruling parties.
It said the visit also aims to strengthen economic diplomacy cooperation between Ethiopia and Tanzania, which was established many years ago on the solid foundations of political solidarity during the African liberation struggle.
During the visit, Ambassador Nchimbi will hold talks with senior leaders of the Prosperity Party aimed at increasing cooperation for the benefit of various parties in various development sectors, especially investment, trade, agriculture and technology.
Ambassador Nchimbi is expected to return to Tanzania on February 1, 2025.
