HWPL (Heavenly Culture World Peace, Restoration of Light) held their January 3, 2025 New Year’s Meeting, the theme “Sustainable World Peace with Religious People.”
The meeting was attended by international religious leaders, famous people and representatives from various fields.
In the meeting, HWPL’s ongoing efforts and plans to build peace for the new year were made clear to all participants.
The statement distributed by HWPL and circulated in the media said that indeed, the meeting showed the purpose and achievements of 2024 and outlined plans for 2025.
The statement emphasized that interfaith dialogue, peace education and international cooperation.
Keynote presentations included the findings of the International Religious Peace Academy (IRPA) and insights into future global peace campaigns.
The meeting started with a speech welcoming HWPL’s mission to achieve lasting peace through joint efforts.
Participants were briefed on HWPL’s major achievements in 2024, including the expansion of WARP Offices, interfaith dialogue and peace education programs.
The event also launched the plans for the third phase of IRPA, which is expected to take place in Africa with the aim of promoting deeper understanding and cooperation between international religious communities.
Additional sessions included reflections by attendees, an introduction to HWPL’s peacebuilding plans for 2025 and a commemorative video celebrating the past year.
In 2024, HWPL achieved milestones including hosting more than 100 WARP Office meetings focused on interfaith dialogue, organizing academies with peace themes and celebrating the 10th anniversary of the HWPL Peace Conference.
These efforts were important in advancing HWPL’s mission to promote a culture of peace through education and align with SDG 16 of the United Nations regarding peace, justice and strong institutions.
This year’s IRPA also marked the expansion of HWPL’s initiatives in Africa.
In collaboration with the African Union, HWPL announced plans to organize a Religious Peace College in Ethiopia aimed at addressing the region’s great need for dialogue between different religions.
This step emphasizes HWPL’s commitment to expand its efforts to build peace around the world with a special focus on areas where unity is most needed.
