PRIME MINISTER, Kassim Majaliwa has instructed the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports to ensure that it continues to collaborate with various stakeholders to enable boxers to benefit from their talents.
He has made the Call on December 26, 2024 during a special ‘Mama’s Knockout’ boxing event held at the Super Dome, Masaki in Dar es Salaam.
“In the beginning these games were consent, but now we have set rules that require this game to be paid, which if a player is called and contracts are made, he must get interest”
, he said
Mr. Majaliwa has asked the Ministry in collaboration with boxing stakeholders to continue to ensure that they provide the best training for coaches and players.
“This will make it possible to be sure that Tanzanian boxers get modern skills and continue to do better”, he said.
The Prime Minister has asked the Ministry to cooperate with the stakeholders of the boxing game, to ensure that women are given more opportunities so that they can participate and show their talents in these boxing games.
He said the Sports Industry has undergone major improvements by the President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan which has enabled Tanzanians to fully participate in various sports

Regarding the “Mother’s Knockout” event, he said that the event was held due to the great work and cooperation of various stakeholders interested in helping the development of the community, especially boxing.
Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi has congratulated the President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has made a great contribution to the sports industry.
“The great political will of the Honorable President has brought positive inspiration and increased morale and stimulated the growth of this sector”, said Kabudi
In that event, the President, Dr. Samia called and talked to stakeholders and boxing fans and promised that the Government will continue to develop strategies to promote the industry.
“I know there are foreign boxers, now Tanzanians should carry the flag of Tanzania”, said President Samia after calling.
