The oil week conference opens in South Africa

📌 Issues of Natural Gas, Oil and Alternative Energy to be discussed 📌 Kapinga leads the Tanzanian delegation

Deputy Minister of Energy Mrs. Judith Kapinga participated in the opening of the African Oil Week Conference (Africa Oil Week 2024), officially opened by the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy of South Africa Mr. Gwede Mantashe.

Minister Mantashe has said that this year’s Conference has reached 30 years since its inception and has brought together more than 15 African countries to discuss the issues of Oil, Natural Gas and other Energy in general.

Along with announcing investment opportunities in Energy matters, the conference will highlight strategies to reduce environmental pollution from carbon production and move to a low carbon energy sector.

The opening of the Conference was also attended by the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy, Dr. James Mataragio, Commissioner of Petroleum and Gas, Mr. Godluck Shirima and the Director General of the Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority (PURA), Engineer Charles Sangweni.

The content of the Conference includes announcing investment opportunities in Oil, Natural Gas and Renewable Energy projects in Africa.
