The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Mr. Albert Chalamila has met with the Chief Commissioner of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), Mr. Yusuph Mwenda with some experts of the authority in a meeting held at the office of the Regional Commissioner Ilala Boma.
Mr. Chalamila has talked about several things that were discussed, such as reducing the tax disputes complained about by businessmen, expanding the scope of taxpayers according to the many sources of income that exist in the Dar es Salaam Region and also improving the tax infrastructure so that TRA can collect more income.
Chief Commissioner of TRA, Mr. Mwenda thanked him, Mr. Chalamila for the cooperation he gives by working with TRA for all five districts of Dar es Salaam and confirming that Dar es Salaam is the center of business because it collects all its taxes at a percentage of about 80%.
