Tanzania Electricity Corporation [TANESCO] has once again won the “Most Improved Organization” award in the area of customer service presented by the Chartered Institute of Customer Management (CICM).
The awards were presented on March 28, 2025 in Dar es Salaam where the Corporation received the award after making improvements in using digital channels to simplify the electricity application process and access to services for its customers.
Speaking on behalf of the TANESCO CEO, the Acting Director of Communications and Customer Service, Ms. Irene Gowelle said the awards are an honor for the Corporation as they are a good sign of the improvements being made being recognized and appreciated.
“These awards are a great honor for TANESCO, they increase our enthusiasm to do better, we will increase creativity in providing better services to our customers”, said
TANESCO Managing Director Engineer Gissima Nyamo-Hanga and he won the honorary award for a leader who makes positive and productive changes in the field of customer service in the Public Sector.
The Tanzania Service Excellence Awards are given annually and aim to recognize Public and private institutions that strengthen and improve quality services to their customers.
