The Tanzania Electricity Corporation (TANESCO) has begun the implementation of an ambitious plan to strengthen electricity distribution lines and improve the quality of electricity in various areas of the Kigamboni TANESCO Region.
This plan, named “Better Electricity in Kigamboni”, has come after some areas of Kigamboni have been plagued by power outages caused by a significant increase in electricity demand as well as the deterioration of infrastructure that affects the efficiency of service delivery in those areas.
This plan aims to implement 35 projects to improve the quality of electricity, namely (Voltage Improvement Project) and is expected to be completed in parallel with major repairs on 8 electricity distribution lines (Feeders).
Speaking in one of the areas where TANESCO is implementing the Project, the Chairman of the Kifurukwe Local Government, Mr. Sultan Mbebe, thanked the Government through TANESCO for starting the implementation of the projects.
