The Ministry of Constitution and Law, headed by the Minister, Mr. Dr. Damas Ndumbaro, the Tanganyika Law Office [TLC] under its President, Advocate Boniface Mwabukusi and heads of various government institutions and departments, on March 28, 2025, are expected to be part of the launch of the Ten Days of Legal Aid for the citizens of Arusha Region.
The Arusha Regional Commissioner, Mr. Paul Christian Makonda said the legal aid has been sponsored by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, as a result of Mama Samia’s Legal Aid held from March 1-7, 2025 where the emergence of a large number of citizens has prompted President Samia to send lawyers again to listen to and serve citizens who did not have the opportunity before.
Mr. Makonda in his statement called on citizens to turn out in large numbers at the launch of the legal aid on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Ngarenaro grounds where various legal services and education will be provided.
He mentioned some of them as the provision of services by the Registration, Insolvency and Trusteeship Agency (RITA), the Police as well as various government departments and offices that will provide free services to the citizens.
While addressing the fourth anniversary of President Samia Madarakani on March 24, 2025, Mr. Makonda said that immediately after the launch, the lawyers will be distributed to the Districts of Arusha Region to provide services.
He also called on the District Heads’ Offices to cooperate with the lawyers and encourage the citizens to turn out in large numbers at the launch as part of his gratitude to President Samia for bringing and sponsoring the legal aid.
