📍DODOMA: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy and Minerals has inspected the construction of the Ministry of Energy building in the Mtumba Government Town and congratulated the Ministry on the 94 percent construction progress.
The Chairman of the Committee, Mr. David Mathayo said this on March 20, 2025, during a visit to inspect the construction of the building in the Mtumba Government Town in Dodoma involving the Ministry’s Management and some staff.
“We have gone everywhere in the building, good and great work has been done and the interior and exterior are both very attractive, I congratulate the Ministry of Energy for this work, especially the committee congratulates President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for ensuring that funds are available to implement the construction of many beautiful government buildings”, he said, Mr. Matthew
He commended the Senior Officials and Management of the Ministry of Energy for managing the construction well and ensuring that the contractor’s funds are paid on time at all times.
He urged them to complete the remaining minor works so that employees can move into the building early.
The Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Dr. Khatibu Kazungu, said employees of the Ministry of Energy expect to move into the building before May 2025 since major work has already been done.
Dr. Kazungu said that all employees moving into the building will be able to stay in one place and do their jobs efficiently unlike the current situation, where employees are divided into two different parts, Kikuyu and Mtumba.
