THE Sixth Phase Government under the leadership of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has continued to create an enabling environment for small-scale miners to ensure they have access to capital, licenses and the use of technology in mining activities to facilitate modern mining.
Speaking in a special interview, the owner of the Kwasakwasa Mine located in Msesule village, Mapogoro ward, Mbarali district, Mbeya region, Ms. Amagite Mkumbwikie said the Sixth Phase Government has created an enabling environment including good prices in the market so that small-scale miners can benefit more.
“As a small-scale miner and owner of the Kwasakwasa mine, I will continue to support the President, Dr. Samia for continuing to provide employment to the youth and return the profits to the villages surrounding our mine”, said, Ms. Nkumwike
“The government has facilitated many things including ensuring that the price of gold in the market is high so that small-scale miners can benefit. We have continued to support these efforts by returning the profits to the community including purchasing school supplies for students in this village who have continued their higher education studies, as well as purchasing an irrigation machine here in the village”, said Ms. Amagite
The Manager of the Mine, Mr. Edward Daud has asked the Government to continue to create a more investor-friendly environment so that more youth can find employment from the investments being made.
“And when we youth are trusted in any place and given a job, then we should work hard 100 percent, let’s be honest with those who gave us the guarantee”, She said
