**Launches CBE's 50-year vision (2025 - 2075) **Emphasizes the use of modern technologies

Colleges and institutions providing secondary education, including the College of Business Education (CBE), have been asked to improve their curricula to meet the current needs of the international job market and social needs.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko said on January 21, 2025 at the 60th anniversary of the college, which was established on January 21, 1965.

“The government emphasizes the use of modern technologies and learning methods that respond to global challenges”, said Dr. Biteko.

He said the government wants secondary education institutions, including the CBE College, to focus on entrepreneurship training so that its graduates can contribute fully to the national economy through innovative businesses and self-employment.

He said educational institutions, including colleges like CBE, have called for strengthening collaboration with the private sector to ensure that the training provided meets the needs of the job market and also help grow the sector through research and training.

He said the Government is encouraging business education colleges to conduct in-depth research that helps solve economic challenges, strengthen business policies and design sustainable solutions.

“The Government has directed institutions like CBE to ensure that educational opportunities reach all groups of society, starting with women, youth and people with disabilities, in order to increase the participation of all groups in the national economy”, added Dr. Biteko.

The Minister for Industry and Trade, Mr. Selemani Jafo said CBE is a hub for trade in the country and has been able to build relationships with various countries internationally, including China and Germany, and is the key to doing business in all campuses in the country.

The Minister for Finance, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba said CBE has been doing good work and has made a significant contribution to the growth of the financial sector in the country.

“Finance and Trade and Investment are inseparable but for all the achievements achieved we must thank the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for her vision and leadership that has honored us”, said Mr. Nchemba.
