Physiotherapy in Critical Care Tanzania to be capacity-building in theory and practice

The Muhimbili-Mloganzila National Hospital has organized a four-week short-term training course on caring for patients who need special care (Physiotherapy in Critical Care) for physiotherapists that will begin from February 1-28, 2025.

According to the Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, PT. Patrick Foster, the training to be held at Muhimbili Mloganzila is specialized and will also involve theory and practice to make the physiotherapists have a broad understanding.

PT. Foster said yesterday that the training is being conducted due to the high demand for specialist skills considering that the Government has made significant investments in infrastructure to provide services and medical equipment, so it is the responsibility of experts to continue to build capacity.

“The implementation of this training will help improve services at lower level hospitals where there is no high-level expertise compared to the National Hospital which is self-sufficient, so we believe that after receiving this training they will be very good at serving patients who need special care”, said PT. Foster

PT.Foster continued to say that this training is provided at the hospital at a low cost, compared to someone going abroad where the costs are higher and asked those who need or want clarification to contact the leadership using the phone number 0755681526, 0715171566 or 0786775737.
