The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has said that the concept of Ethical Tourism continues to grow further following the arrival of various religious leaders in the country.
The President, Dr. Mwinyi, said this when he spoke to the Scholar, Dr. Zakir Naik of the Putrajaya Institute of Malaysia and his delegation who arrived at the State House to meet him.
President Dr. Mwinyi explained that Zanzibar has had a great opportunity to develop Tourism and employment for Youth following the implementation of the concept of Ethical Tourism that was accepted by the community
President Dr. Mwinyi has urged the Scholar to visit more historical sites in the country and become an Ambassador to Promote Zanzibar Internationally.
Similarly, President Dr. Mwinyi has advised Dr. Zakir to consider visiting Zanzibar during the fasting period of the Holy Month of Ramadan with the aim of giving lectures to Muslim believers.
Dr. Zakir Naik has praised the progress being made in the country as well as the good continuation of Islamic religious movements in the country and promised cooperation.
