CRDB Bank has presented a new car to Mr. Khamis Majala after he emerged the winner in their Bank is Simbanking campaign who has made many transactions on his mobile phone in a campaign aimed at encouraging the use of SimBanking services.
The Nissan Duals car is delivering four other cars that were gifted to the customers, bringing the total to five cars so far that CRDB customers have won.
Speaking on December 30, 2024 in Dodoma at the prize-giving ceremony, the Head of the Personal Clients Division of CRDB Bank, Mr. Stephen Adili, said the aim of giving the prize is to encourage citizens to use mobile phones to make transactions.
He mentioned the benefits of using mobile phones to make transactions as it helps to make transactions at all times, saving time in queuing to get services and increasing financial security.
“Today we are here to present a prize to our winner of a registered car, full tank of fuel and full year insurance.
At the beginning of the year we launched a campaign that aims to ensure Tanzanians have sufficient understanding of banking services available on mobile phones”, said Mr. Adili
He added that the citizens received the campaign with joy which has helped increase transactions by 100 percent by people using mobile phones for banking services.
According to Mr. Adili, in the campaign they planned to give away five cars, four of which have already been given to the winners found through the campaign.
The Central Zone Business Manager, Mr. Andrew Mheziwa said that so far all payments can be made via phone.
“Today we conclude where our winner will be handed over the car to our winner from Dodoma, I should continue to encourage citizens to open CRDB accounts which will help make transactions digitally”, he said
The winner of the car, Mr. Khamis Majala said he thanked CRDB Bank for the prize while encouraging citizens to continue making digital transactions so that they can win various prizes.
