PRIMARY MINISTER, Kassim Majaliwa on December 30, 2024 represented President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan at the funeral of Honorable Mwanaisha Kwariko who was a Judge of the Court of Appeal and a Member of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Expressing condolences to the mourners at the home of the deceased in Kondoa, Dodoma Region, Honorable Majaliwa said President Dr. Samia was touched by the death of Honorable Mwanaisha as he was one of the judges of the Court of Appeal with great ability in all the positions he served.
Honorable Majaliwa said the deceased was a leader who carried out his duties with professionalism and integrity.
“This tragedy is a heavy burden for us, our responsibility as the people of Dodoma, Tanzanians, Judges and members of the Commission is to continue to pray to God for him”, said Majaliwa
He called on everyone to honor all the good things that Judge Mwanaisha did throughout his public service as doing so would be a good way to keep a record of his work.
The Chief Justice of Tanzania, Professor Ibrahim Juma, said that Honorable Mwanaisha Kwariko lived up to his oath of office by providing services to the public including resolving conflicts fairly without any favoritism.
“Judge Mwanaisha was a women of humanity and dignity, his life was about helping others, we thank God because his life has helped us a lot in various judicial activities”, said the Chief Justice
The Chairperson of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Justice (Appeal), Mr. Jacobs Mwambegele said that Honorable Mwanaisha has left at a time when the commission needed him especially during this period when the commission is in the process of updating the permanent voters’ register ahead of the presidential, parliamentary and councilor general elections
“We have lost Honorable Mwanaisha while we are in the eighth round of the register updating exercise and as we enter the ninth round that will cover the four regions of Rukwa, Songwe, Njombe and Ruvuma, she also always provided highly professional advice in ensuring that the commission carries out its duties in accordance with the constitution, laws, regulations and procedures”, he said.
Dodoma Regional Commissioner,Mrs. Rosemary Senyamule said that Honorable Mwanaisha was a staunch leader and advocate for women’s issues.
“Judge Mwanaisha in the area where he worked, we who are struggling will remember him for his great contributions to development issues”, said, Mrs. Senyamule
The late Honorable Court of Appeal Judge Mwanaisha Kwariko died on December 27, 2024 in India while receiving medical treatment.
