Yanga has continued to deliver a big dose in the NBC Premier League after recording a 5-0 or handball against Fountain Gate FC in a match played this Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the KMC Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
The dose, which is the third in a row, has caused the team to break the entire technical bench starting with head coach Mohamed Muya and all his assistants.
Before the victory, Yanga gave two other big doses in the league matches against Dodoma Jiji and Tanzania Prisons, each of which fell by 4-0.
Yanga began to write the first goal in the 16th minute, the scorer being Pacome Zouzoua who made good use of Shadrack Boka’s pass who in turn caught Mudathir Yahya’s pass.
Mudathir scored Yanga’s second goal in the 40th minute with a ball from Aziz Ki’s corner and found Prince Dube who returned it to Clement Mzize who passed it to him before landing at the feet of the scorer.
In the 45th minute, Aziz Ki’s efforts, who had the ball that seemed to be out of his own and passed it to Mzize who passed it to Pacome who scored Yanga’s third goal.
Eight minutes into the second half, Yanga scored their fourth goal from a shot by Pacome who was declared the best player of the match.
Pacome fired a shot that beat Fountain Gate goalkeeper, John Nobo and hit the top of the wall before returning to the field and defender Jackson Shija scored himself while making a save.
With three minutes left before the end of the game, Clement Mzize concluded Yanga’s goal celebration by scoring the fifth goal using a pass from Salum Aboubakar ‘Sure Boy’.
With the victory, Yanga has moved closer to league leaders Simba after reaching 39 points in 15 matches, second place, the same as Simba with 40 points.
While Yanga are enjoying the closeness to Simba, the situation is bad for Fountain Gate who, after the defeat, announced the dismissal of the entire technical bench, starting with the head coach.
