Deputy Minister, Office of the President – TAMISEMI, Mrs. Zainab Katimba has asked the contractors who are given contracts for the construction of TARURA roads to execute the projects efficiently and on time as per the contract agreement.
Mrs. Katimba has given his instructions during his working visit to Dar Es Saalam to inspect the TARURA roads in the city for the provinces of Ukonga and Segerea and to see the areas where new roads will be built and roads that will be improved in the second phase of the development project of the Dar City Council Es Salaam (DMDP II) in those states.
“When the contractors are given these jobs, they have the basic responsibility to ensure that they fulfill their contractual obligations, to ensure that they build these roads in accordance with the contract within the time limit, so that there is no disruption because the people want to see the great productivity that the President, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has made it possible for them to build good road infrastructure”, she said, Mrs. Katimba
Mrs. Katimba has continued to emphasize that the roads that are being built are helping to a large extent in the country’s economy as well as helping citizens to access basic social services.
Member of Parliament of the state of Segerea, Hon. Bonah Kamori has asked the government through the Office of the President – TAMISEMI to encourage the contractors not to delay so that the roads are built and the people continue with economic activities and access basic services especially during the rainy season.
Deputy Minister, Mrs. Katimba has visited the roads of Pugu-Majohe-Viwege 10.5 km, Banana-Kitunda-Kivule-Msongo 12.6 km of Ukonga state and Bonyokwa-Zahanati 1.46 km, Bonyokwa last 3.2 km, Segerea South Segerea ward 0.69 km of Segerea state.
