Minister Chana will ask the institutions of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism to cooperate

The Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Ambassador, Dr. Pindi Chana has asked the institutions under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism to work together to improve the performance of these institutions.

Ambassador Chana made the statement on October 16, 2024 while speaking with the Management of the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority (NCAA) in a meeting held at the Ngorongoro Economic Investment Building in Arusha.

Dr. Chana has emphasized that if there are services that are provided by one of the institutions within the Ministry, it is important to collaborate in order to simplify work and thus increase efficiency in the conservation and tourism sector.

“Follow the existing laws and procedures to increase the cooperation of all institutions, I also emphasize to build a culture of visiting each other for the purpose of learning and if there is a possibility of helping each other with equipment to work in different areas, help each other to eliminate challenges”, said Minister Chana.

Ambassador Dr. Chana has congratulated the Ngorongo Park Authority for being able to collect a total of 96.7 billion shillings in the first quarter of the year 2024/25 compared to the first quarter of the financial year 2023/2024 the authority collected only 68 billion shillings.

Conservation Commissioner of the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority Dr. Elirehema Doriye told Minister Chana that the authority continues to carry out its duties seriously to ensure that it achieves the goals set for improving conservation activities and increasing the number of tourists to achieve the goals set by the government.

Dr. Chana is in Arusha to visit various institutions managed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism where he is accompanied by the Deputy Secretary General (Tourism) Mr. Nkoba Mabula and the Director of Tourism Dr. Thereza Mugobi.
