Democracy and civil rights continue to strengthen under President Samia – Ambassador Nchimbi

General Secretary of the Revolutionary Party (CCM), Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel John Nchimbi has confirmed to the International Community that issues of democracy and human rights will continue to improve in Tanzania under the leadership of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.

Ambassador Nchimbi said this when he met the Turkish Ambassador in Tanzania, Dr. Mehmet Güllüoğlu, Ambassador of Morocco, Mr. Zacharia El Goumir, with the Executive Director of Policy and Evaluation of the American Charity Organization (MCC), at different times, October 15, 2024.

In the conversation, held at the Small Office of the CCM Headquarters, Lumumba, in the city of Dar es Salaam, Ambassador Nchimbi said during the sixth phase of government leadership, a big step has been reached in strengthening democracy, good governance, economy and civil rights.

The conversation between the Ambassador and the ambassadors of those countries, along with the MCC institution, aimed to improve relations in various fields including politics, agriculture, technology, education, and sports, with the aim of bringing common development to the citizens of all parties.

In his meeting with the Turkish Ambassador Dr. Güllüoğlu, Ambassador Nchimbi emphasized that the relationship between Tanzania and Turkey is strategic, mentioning the construction of the modern railway (SGR) as one of the successful examples of the cooperation.

Dr. Güllüoğlu agreed with Ambassador Nchimbi and confirmed that Turkey will continue to cooperate with Tanzania in development projects, including the technology, education and trade of agricultural products sectors.

In his conversation with the Moroccan Ambassador, Ambassador Nchimbi thanked the country for its contribution in the education and sports sector and congratulated it for their support in the construction of the largest mosque in East Africa, built in Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam.

Ambassador Nchimbi noted that the cooperation between Tanzania and Morocco has great benefits for both sides, especially in promoting education, sports, and security issues in Africa.

For his part, the Moroccan Ambassador Mr. Goumir confirmed that his country will continue to cooperate with Tanzania while explaining Morocco’s commitment to support academic and sports development in Tanzania.

In addition, the conversation between the Ambassador and the MCC delegation was led by Mr. Dan Barnes, focused on the areas of politics, development projects and good governance.

Ambassador Nchimbi emphasized the CCM Government, under the leadership of President Dr. Samia continues to take decisive action in improving the state of democracy and human rights in the country.

Ambassador Nchimbi stressed that this development is part of the government’s vision to ensure that citizens’ rights and good governance are maintained while Tanzania continues to be a role model in Africa and the world in general.
