DEPUTY Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko has congratulated the Mining Commission for continuing to exceed the goal of collection of resources and insisting on continuing to set strategies to ensure that they exceed the goal given to them by the Government to collect the amount of One Trillion shillings in the financial year 2024/2025.
Dr. Biteko said this on October 5, 2024 when he visited the pavilion of the Ministry of Mines and its Institutions accompanied by the Minister of Mines, Mr. Anthony Mavunde at the Seventh National Exhibition of Technology and Investment in the Geita Mining Industry which started on October 2, at Bombambili grounds in Geita region.
“You are doing a very good job Mining Commission, the goal given to you is to collect One Trillion Shillings in the fiscal year 2024/2025, I believe you will overcome it,” said Dr. Biteko.
Other institutions under the Ministry of Mines that participate in the exhibition include the Institute for Promotion of Transparency and Accountability in Mineral Resources, Oil and Natural Gas (TEITI), the Institute of Geology and Mineral Research Tanzania (GST) and the National Mining Corporation ( STAMICO)
