The Muhimbili-Mloganzila National Hospital has officially concluded the World Pharmacists’ Day exhibition for the year 2024 which has been used to display various products produced by the Pharmacy Department in the hospital as well as providing education on the correct use of drugs to avoid potential side effects.
Closing the exhibition on behalf of the Executive Director MNH, Director of Medical Services Dr. Faraja Chiwanga has congratulated the department for the creativity they have been showing in their work and urged other departments to imitate that creativity with the aim of continuing to improve services in the hospital.
Among the products that are produced by the department are ear drops, hand sanitizers, mouth guards and various agents used in caring for patients with ulcers.
Dr. Faraja has urged the health experts in the hospital to continue to work in cooperation while emphasizing on commitment, discipline, professionalism and ensuring that patients continue to receive the right and guided treatment at the right time.
Head of the Pharmacy Department, Mr. Dominick Mfoi said the aim of the exhibition is to provide education to various stakeholders including service providers and customers about the importance of considering the correct use of medicines
The exhibition has involved various drug distribution companies in the country including Planet, Troikan, Ajanta, RK Pharmaceticals, Micro labs Limited, BSV and Astra Pharm who have all been awarded certificates of appreciation.
