PRIME MINISTER, Kassim Majaliwa has called on religious leaders and Tanzanians in general to ensure that they manage and strengthen good values in society to avoid evil and bring sustainable development to Tanzanians.
“Let me use this opportunity to continue to give opinions to citizens, parents and religious leaders to ensure that they participate fully in the education of our children at all levels based on the values and culture of our nation. It is our responsibility as citizens”
He said this on September 16, 2024 when he represented the President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan at the National Maulid Council held at the grounds of Nyankumbu Girls’ Secondary School, Geita Region.
He said religious leaders have the responsibility of providing guidance and spiritual formation to believers because they have a great power to inspire morals and good behavior.
“Parents, you have a primary responsibility in raising your children starting at the family level to build good behavior, and if we do that, there will be no reckless actions, we must be vigilant in these actions that can bring fear to our society”, he said.
Majaliwa has said that everyone should participate in protecting the nation by recognizing all actions that indicate a breach of peace so that the country continues to be strong.
“The issue of defense and security belongs to all of us Tanzanians, that’s what we have done since Tanzania gained independence”, he said
Majaliwa has asked the believers of the Islamic religion to use the Maulid celebrations by showing in practice how to live with love, respect, ethics, compassion and justice.
“By honoring the life of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), let us use the Maulid celebrations as a source of positive change in the lives of believers. Let us all use this opportunity to be motivated and strive to live by the values of the Prophet, which include good behavior, integrity, and compassion”, he said.
