The Ministry of Energy and its Institutions have participated in the Kizimkazi Festival (Kizimkazi Festival) which is going on in the village of Kizimkazi in the Southern District of the Southern Region of Kisiwani Zanzibar and provide its services as usual.
In the Kizimkazi Festival, the Ministry of Energy and its institutions provided education on the implementation of the Energy Policy of 2015 as well as providing services to the people, especially the implementation of the National Strategy for the use of clean cooking energy for the year 2024-2034.
In the Pavilion of the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC), citizens were able to see for themselves the operations of Natural Gas extraction, transportation and processing through Virtual Reality Technology, as well as the efforts of the government in the development of the oil sector and natural gas.
The Ministry of Energy will have a special Energy Day during the Kizimkazi Festival where it will conduct a conference on clean cooking energy and include various stakeholders, where the official guest is expected to be the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko.
The Kizimkazi Festival has been launched by the President of Zanzibar and the Chairman of the Zanzibar Revolutionary Council, Hon. Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi August 18, 2024 where the motto of the Festival is “Safe Cooking for the Health of the Chef and for Community Development”.
