President Samia invites investors to Kilombero, Malinyi and Ulanga

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has assured investors of reliable electricity in Kilombero, Malinyi and Ulanga Districts and has therefore invited them to invest in those areas.

President, Dr. Samia said this yesterday while concluding his visit to Ifakara Town, Kilombero District, Morogoro Region, where he emphasized that adding value to products in industries requires reliable electricity, so the Government is making every effort so that the country can be self-sufficient with that energy and enable value addition to available raw materials. in the country including crops.

He has assured the investors that the areas of Kilombero, Malinyi and Ulanga will have enough electricity so investors should not hesitate to continue investing in various industries.

He added that the availability of electricity in those areas has continued to attract local investors who have installed grain processing machines and added that large-scale construction of warehouses is ongoing.

“This investment shows that electricity has brought great benefits in these areas, let me assure you that the Government will continue to manage the Energy Sector to continue to have reliable electricity.” Dr. Samia emphasized

Speaking about rural electricity projects, he said the Government through the Rural Energy Agency (REA) has already delivered electricity to all 110 villages of Kilombero District.

He added that the work that is going on now is the transmission of electricity to the Villages and to the Institute.
