Ambassador of Turkey in Tanzania Dr. Mehmet Gulluoglu has met and held talks with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports, Gerson Msigwa at the Ministry’s offices in Dodoma, they have discussed how the existing diplomatic relationship will benefit both countries in the fields of Culture, Arts and Sports.
Speaking after the discussion, Secretary General Msigwa said there is great hope for the two countries to open up various opportunities that affect those sectors, including Kiswahili language experts to teach the language in the country, building a large cultural center as well as developing sports infrastructure here in Tanzania.
“The main thing that the Turkish Government is ready to do is to build a Cultural Center here in Tanzania to promote the cultures of both sides, develop them and also use culture as an economic opportunity. Once the agreement is completed, they are ready to start the construction of the facility”, said Msigwa.
The Secretary General, Msigwa has said that the Government of the country is ready to cooperate with Tanzania in the Art Sector where film artists from Tanzania will have the opportunity to visit the country to learn more about the industry and also film artists from the country to visit Tanzania to exchange experiences .
On the part of the sports sector, Msigwa said the Turkish government has shown its intention to provide opportunities for national teams to camp in the country during the preparation of various international championships.
