The Regional Head of Dar es Salaam, Albert Chalamila has said that the Social Development Fund (TASAF) has become a great savior to eliminate poverty in society and poor people and many have changed their lives, many programs to reduce poverty TASAF is one of the exemplary institutions.
Chalamila said yesterday at the session to evaluate the implementation of TASAF, which was held at the Karimjee Hall in Dar es Salaam.
RC Chalamila said TASAF has been a great help in improving poor households such as education, health and economic upliftment services so TASAF should reach more of the intended beneficiaries.
RC Chalamila has instructed the coordinators and other experts of TASAF to create recognition for their beneficiaries because money does not complete the life of a human being and there are others who need to benefit.
“If a child gets a job and gets hired and then allows his parent to continue to be in TASAF, that means the boy needs whipping in front of his parent”, said Chalamila.
RC Chalamila said it is important for the beneficiaries to be involved in such meetings so that they can know what is going on and he encouraged the leaders to have service discipline and the money given should be sent to the beneficiaries, that is the expectation of President Dr. Samia Suluhu and not otherwise.
Administrative Secretary of the DSM Region, Ms. Rehema Madenge said it is everyone’s responsibility to fight the challenges so that TASAF beneficiaries benefit as required.
Director of Coordination, Mrs. Haika Shayo also said that the advice and instructions given through the session will be worked on to improve the system for their beneficiaries.
