Those who broke Majoe’s houses should be arrested – RC Chalamila

The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Albert Chalamila has ordered the arrest of the people involved in breaking the homes of more than 30 people at night in the Majoe District of Ilala City, Dar es Salaam.

.RC Chalamila said this yesterday when he visited the area and saw for himself how houses were demolished by unknown people and that the crime has been taking place at night.

Chalamila, after listening to the victims, has instructed the OCD and PCC to arrest the Chairman of Majoe Street so that he can be questioned as to which people have committed the crime.

“It is not possible that people come to demolish houses at night and then they are not known and the Chairman of the local government is there, this is not acceptable”, he said.

RC Chalamila has asked the OCD to search and arrest all those involved in the incident, to investigate in detail to find out who they are and the next step, he will come with his team of experts, lawyers and land experts to find a solution to the root of the crisis.

.Chalamila has ordered that the area be protected from now on so that it does not cause damage or other demolition where he has emphasized that the act that was done is intolerable and it tarnishes the image of the Police Force, Government and the President who is the Chairman of CCM.

Ilala District Head, Edward Mpogolo has said that he arrived at the scene of the incident and saw for himself how more than 30 houses have been demolished and their owners are still struggling for lack of a place to live.

Chalamila has said that the steps taken are preliminary so that he has a starting point and it is clear that he does not change or interfere with the judgment of the Court.
