Famous Tanzanian Taekwondo athletes have once again succeeded in reaching the 4th stage of East Africa and won in the championship held last week at Nyayo Staduim in Kenya.
Chairman Taekwondo Association (TTA) Club Said Kennedy Said said that the competition was held in Nairobi for the fourth time and Tanzania has emerged as the winner so it is a compliment to the nation
The winners of the TaeKondo competition from Dar es Salaam which was held in Nairobi in Kenya and made Tanzania the winner in East Africa. The winners are Moses Mwanyliu (gold, Navraj Singh Mair (2 gold), Arzu Yilmaz (gold, Mehek Kaur Mair (1 gold), Jaiveer Singh Mair (2 silver), Ali Hamis Ali (1 silver), Halil Yusuf (1 bronze) ) and Sedatt Yilmaz (1 bronze)
The winners from Zanzibar are Maxmillian Kailanga – (1 Gold and 1 Silver), Rashid Hamad Khamis – (2 Gold Medals), Ibrahim Ali Yussuf (Gold
and 1 bronze), Ibrahim Hamad Khamis-(2 silver medals) and Ali Mohamed Khamis-(1 bronze medal).
Tanzania got a total of 9 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 4 bronze medals
