Youth should test themselves on how to serve the nation- DC Ubungo

Ubungo District commissioner, Hashim Komba has asked the youth of today to evaluate how they are dedicated in serving their country of Tanzania.

Komba who said this at the 62nd anniversary of the Independence of Mainland Tanzania in a conference that was held in the hall of Mbezi High School and said today’s youth are different from the youth of the past.

He said that the youth of the past gave themselves to serve their nation by giving money, wealth, time and many other things to use it and fight for the nation until we got freedom from the colonialists, but many of the youth today cannot give themselves up, so they must evaluate themselves because we still have a long way to go to get rid of the nation. in the war against disease, ignorance and poverty which was declared immediately after getting Independence.

Retired colonel, Sunday Masanja in the first topic said that there is a big development right now due to the youth of the past because now there are many industries and products and he gave an example that in the past the industrial area was only Pugu Road but now industries are spread everywhere.

The second presenter, retired Colonel, Ali Kinga Shamte said that there is great progress in politics as there are currently many parties that have been given enough democracy.

He said that after the elders liberated the nation, they started fighting for the freedom of other African countries so that they too would be free in terms of development and politics.

Prophet Paulo Bendera, giving a topic about unity and solidarity, said that in order for peace and stability to continue to exist, we must have solidarity and love. Tanzania currently has peace and stability that has resulted from the solidarity brought by the elders in the past immediately after independence.

“Many countries in the world are at war, but in Tanzania we have been blessed with peace and stability, many Tanzanians, women and men, have dreamed different from other countries with violence and war, there is no time to build health” said Bendera
