RC Dar has urged residents to insure their businesses and deposit the proceeds of sales in the bank

The Governor of Dar es Salaam Region, Albert Chalamila, has asked the citizens of Dar es Salaam Region to be aware of various disasters, especially fires, by cutting insurance for buildings, businesses and using banks to store money so that disasters do not incur large losses.

Chalamila said this yesterday when he was inspecting the effects of the fire disaster that occurred the other day in the Mwenge area of Kinondoni District on Tuesday night where the frames of more than 30 traders were burnt by fire and their properties were destroyed.

Chalamila has asked the people to realize the importance of using the Bank to keep money and I don’t have it in the store or at home due to the disaster, there are remnants of burnt money that is a sign of people’s lack of understanding of the Bank. disasters.

RC Chalamila speaking to the victims of the fire has apologized to all those affected by the disaster and ordered an immediate investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

“For now, the Office of the District Head and Director Kinondoni should look at how to help those traders by lending them money that they will return with a small interest so that they can continue with business as before” said Chalamila

Chalamila has said that he realizes that these disasters can occur due to bad luck, negligence or plans of people with evil intentions, so when the investigation is completed, legal measures should take their course.

Chalamila has also ordered the improvement of shop frames in the area as Mwenge is now an important commercial area.

The Head of Kinondoni District, Saad Mtambule said that the area belongs to Bagdad, it had 32 frames, various properties have been burnt, an investigation team has already been formed and is completing its work, the investigation report will be submitted to the Regional Commissioner’s Office. He thanked the police force and citizens who came out to put out the fire and save some property.
