The international peace organization HWPL, on November 18 this year, organized an online Prayer Meeting for various faiths in the world to restore light and end war.
The conference, which was held online, brought together religious leaders and believers of various denominations to pray for an end to war and promote peace in the world.More than 855 people participated in the meeting of 10 different religions from 73 countries.
In particular, the importance of unity between religious people and the shared values laid down in various texts promoting peace, justice, human dignity, respect, and harmony was emphasized.
In the meeting, various prayers were led by the leaders and representatives of the religions of Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam, Buddhism, Jainism, and Zoroastrianism.
The prayers represented by the leaders of various religions had different forms, but the contents were all prayers for peace while each religious leader offered prayers based on his traditions, emphasizing the common goal of ending war and finding peace in the world. At the end of the prayer meeting, HWPL proposed a “Prayer Campaign” through the moderator as a practical step for peace.
Religious leaders were encouraged to regularly hold prayer meetings for the end of war and world peace and to create opportunities in various ways to gather the hearts of as many people as possible.
Amid ongoing interfaith conflicts and controversies, HWPL’s commitment to promoting interfaith harmony is evident through initiatives such as the Offices of the United World Religions for Peace (WARP) where religious and professional leaders regularly gather to discuss their scriptures. .
