A specialized camp for prosthetic hip and knee surgery has started today at Muhimbili Mloganzila National Hospital.The camp is run by Prof. Mamoun Gadir from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in England, in collaboration with Mloganzila experts.
Assistant Director of Surgical Services MNH-Mloganzila Dr. Godlove Fund has said that on the first day a total of six patients have undergone surgery and in the five days of the camp 35 people will benefit from the surgery.
In addition, he has noted that the camp will continue until December this year and after the camp the normal procedure of the treatment will continue where the patients will continue to be served by national experts.
