The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Albert Chalamila has asked the Ward and Street officials to be fair when they perform their duties and manage development projects fully because many projects are implemented at the Ward and Street level.
RC Chalamila said yesterday during the opening of the training of Division officers and ward executives of the Dar es Salaam region held in the hall of the Temeke Municipal Council that will be held for two days from Nov 23 – 24, 2023.
He has said that employees should have morals to bring a good image to the people because if they do badly, the people’s blame goes directly to the top leaders. Chalamila has asked the servants to understand justice not poverty and wealth not theft.
“There is a big difference between righteousness and poverty and many think that a righteous person is poor, so stop living in poverty so that you can be seen as righteous”.
He said that the training is very important and he urged the leaders to solve the problems and challenges of the people including land disputes, manage their peace and security, good management of projects and the money entrusted to them should be used as intended, refrain from acts of corruption and oppressing the weak and their rights.
And the Head of Temeke District, Sixtus Mapunda has said that training is the mother of understanding of all things and encourages that it be given regularly to further build their capacity and recognize their position as servants because they are the closest to the citizens and recognize their problems and challenges.
The chairman of the training, Hulda Ulomi thanked the Regional Commissioner for opening the training and his advice and promised to monitor all the training with attention and quality so that the executives understand and go to perform their duties properly.
