The Director General of the National Housing Corporation (NHC), Hamad Abdallah has held talks with the management of the Keda Marble Factory and visited various areas of the factory located in Chalinze in the Coast Region.
The Director General told the management of the factory that NHC is visiting various factories to see the capacity, cost and time that will be used to produce construction materials that will help NHC build affordable houses for Tanzanians.
Since entering the NHC, Hamad has encouraged to reduce the cost of building houses by buying building materials directly from factories where the price and quality of the materials are acceptable in enabling the construction of better houses at a lower cost.
The management of the factory has expressed its desire to work with NHC in contributing to the construction of better and cheaper houses in Tanzania. The factory produces 50,000 square meters of marble per day and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This visit is a continuation of the various visits made by NHC in factories that make building materials.
