The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Albert Chalamila has asked all women to discuss how to build awareness of entrepreneurship, market research and continue to encourage women to use entrepreneurial opportunities in the country.
This was said yesterday at a conference organized by the Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) at the Hyatt Hotel in Dar es Salaam.
Chalamila has said that President Dr. Samia Suluhu is struggling to create a business-friendly environment especially for entrepreneurs to connect them with markets, including the improvement of infrastructure, the purchase of cargo planes and even the improvement of the Port of Dar es Salaam by opening investment opportunities, so women must use them.
“There are expert discussions that clearly show that a woman is smart, a good example is to carefully examine the leadership of Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, a woman who realizes herself and is given opportunities is a savior for the family, society and the nation as a whole,” he said.
At the conference, Chalamila had the opportunity to see for herself the various products made by Tanzanian women entrepreneurs, especially in the Dar es Salaam Region, and asked them to continue being creative and looking for markets inside and outside the country.
The Executive Director of TWCC, Mwajuma Hamza has said that the aim of the conference is to bring together women entrepreneurs to discuss and build understanding of entrepreneurship and marketing in order to bring efficiency in the implementation of their daily responsibilities for the wider interests of society and the Nation as a whole.
TWCC has asked the government to increase the amount of capital they provide, to involve them in policies and to improve the infrastructure that helps entrepreneurs to do their daily work.
