The PRESIDENT of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier has arrived in the country yesterday for a three-day working visit until November 1, 2023.
President Steinmeier was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation January Makamba at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Dar es Salaam.
This visit has been caused by the good relations that exist between Tanzania and Germany. Some of the success of these relations, business sales from Tanzania to Germany for the year reached 42.04 million US Dollars for the products of Coffee, Tobacco, Cotton, Honey, Fish, Wax and Minerals.
Similarly, Germany has promised to provide assistance of 25 million Euros to Zanzibar for the water sector. It has also shown interest in contributing to health services by providing training and strengthening technology infrastructure.
