“IMPROVING EMPLOYMENT ACCESS FOR YOUTH THROUGH VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS PROJECTS”
SECTION A: INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT
Dear Applicant
This project provides scholarships to young people in various fields through short courses. The beneficiary of this scholarship will get classroom training, and general life skills through those fields.
This funding will be provided by the following Institutions; VETA, Citizens’ Development Colleges of the areas mentioned by SIDO for a period of 3 months. The applicant will be awarded a certificate once he has fully completed this training.
This project is sponsored by KCB Foundation, KCB Group and KCB Bank Tanzania through the 2jijiri program.
The purpose of this project is to improve the skills of young people in various sectors in order to increase their income by building their self-employment capacity in those sectors.
Young people who are ready to start their own small businesses or develop the businesses they have will be included in the business development project by getting help on how to start or run those businesses. It is important to fill this form as accurately as possible so that you can be successful in this application.
Only complete applications will be considered. Before filling this application form, please read all instructions carefully.
Scholarship eligibility criteria:
· Be a young Tanzanian aged between 18 and no more than 35 years
·
Be a resident of the relevant region
· Be able to read and write
· Have a letter from the local government accompanied by a copy of the nationality or voter’s ID or driver’s license or passport or birth certificate.
· Be willing to attend all training sessions
·
You must have never received any scholarship through KCB in any of its previous projects

An applicant can make only two field choices in only one Institute.
