The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Albert Chalamila has issued four instructions to the leadership of Dar es Salaam City Council, Wami Valley, Ruvu and all Dar es Salaam Regional Councils.
Chalamila gave these instructions yesterday during his visit to the Vingunguti area of Ilala District in Dar es Salaam when he arrived to check the effects of the Msimbazi river as it endangers the lives of citizens.
RC Chalamila has prevented all Dar es Salaam Regional Councils from cleaning the Rivers and some of the Areas therein, instead they should focus on managing all the contractors so that the Rivers and Areas can be clean.
Also, he has asked all the councils that are near to give emergency permits to companies with large plants (machines) to provide them with jobs to clean the valleys and rivers and to avoid corruption and corruption by renting plants that do not have capacity.
RC Chalamila has instructed the people of the Valley and the task force of the Regional Governor’s Office to properly manage the availability of sand for all councils when they need it so that they can get it easily and at a cheap price.
RC Chalamila has ordered that a Cleanliness Session be held quickly with the District Head, Health People, Local Executives to discuss the issue because Cleanliness is not perfect yet, so he has asked every street to reach a stage of self-awareness and make Cleanliness itself.
On his part, the Head of Ilala District Hon. Edward Mpogoro has acknowledged receiving all the instructions given and promised to act on them
