The President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan October 13, 2024 has officially closed the Seventh Mining Technology Exhibition that was held in Geita.
The exhibition carried the theme “Using the Right Technology and Clean Energy in the Mining Industry for Sustainable Development”.
It brought together various stakeholders from the Mining sector and they have used the exhibition to show various Mining Technologies as well as provide education about their contribution to the development of the important sector in the country’s economy.
The Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) being an important stakeholder in the sector and responsible for opening road communication in mines has participated for the first time in the exhibition.
TARURA has used the exhibition as a platform to provide education to the citizens who have visited its pavilion about its responsibilities in parallel with the education of road infrastructure maintenance.
Various citizens who arrived at the TARURA Pavilion have expressed their satisfaction with the education they received, especially regarding the importance of maintaining road infrastructure in their areas.
Resident of Katoro, Geita, Mr. Arafat Juma after visiting the TARURA pavilion congratulated them for their decision to see the importance of participating in the exhibition as it has enabled them to gain various knowledge of road infrastructure maintenance.
“I would like to advise the herdsmen and farmers, urban and rural, to protect the road infrastructure because the ditches should be clean and we should also avoid passing livestock in the middle of the road so as not to damage our roads”, he advised, Mr. Arafat.
Mrs. Lilian Mtandu who is from Jasiliamali and the owner of an organization that deals with youth issues from Dar es Salaam has expressed her happiness after getting education about TARURA.
