More than 800 guests from the Association of Government and Health Workers (TUGHE) have made a historic visit to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area at the end of the eighth month.
The visit, which took place after TUGHE members finished the seminar held in Arusha from August 26, 2024, aims to bring employers and employees together to gain mutual understanding, discuss and solve various challenges that arise in the workplace.
Chairman of TUGHE National Mr. Joel George Kaminyoge has said that the purpose of their visit is to encourage local tourism and support the efforts of Dr. President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan in promoting tourism where the visit has given their members the opportunity to experience the unique attractions available in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
“Today we have come with more than 800 members to visit the Ngorongoro Crater to see for themselves one of the best attractions in the world which is part of the world’s heritage. We believe that our visit will bring productivity and motivation for the heads of institutions to have a procedure to send their employees to do tourism in various attractions in the country,” said Mr. Kaminyoge
Manager of Tourism and marketing services of the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority Ms. Mariam Kobelo, said that the authority is ready to continue to receive different groups of visitors and assure them that they get the best service in order to continue to promote the reserve and strengthen tourism in it.
The director of Tanzanite Cooperates Ltd who coordinated the visit Mrs. Elina Mwangomo, has said that there is a large increase in domestic tourists, which increases the motivation for tourism stakeholders to continue improving their services while explaining that Ngorongoro has become one of the areas that is most loved by visitors and tourists from different parts of the country.
“I use this opportunity to thank Dr. President Samia Suluhu Hassan for creating an enabling environment for us because after the movie Royal Tour there has been a great awareness of tourism which has helped us Tourism stakeholders to get the opportunity to receive more tourists.
He gave an example that they have been able to enter Ngorongoro with more than 800 local tourists and I believe these groups will continue to come in large numbers” said Ms. Elina Mwangomo.
Mrs. Jackline Ngoda, who is one of the members who visited the Park, expressed her satisfaction with the visit after seeing various animals, including the Big 5 in their natural habitats.
“In general, we have seen various animals, including lions, buffaloes, elephants, gazelles, mules, hippos, zebras and many others, we have been able to see the unique beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater and I would like to tell my fellow Tanzanians to come and visit Ngorongoro and experience its natural beauty.
This visit is part of TUGHE’s efforts to bring together employers and employees of Government institutions to get a chance to learn and build a good relationship and cooperation outside the formal work environment.
