The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Albert Chalamila said that the rains that continue to fall have caused a lot of damage to the roads, so soon he expects to announce a contract to repair the roads in the region of Dar es Salaam, so the contractors should wait for the contracts and ask for them.
Speaking to journalists in his office, Ilala Boma said that the heavy rains that continue to fall have caused major damage to the road infrastructure and the government has not slept, it is stable and soon the infrastructure will be repaired and the road will be built at the asphalt level.
He has said that contractors with the criteria, tools and qualifications to do the work should come forward to apply for the work when it is announced early this year.
Mentioning the districts and roads that need to be worked on, Chalamila said Ilala Km 55.27, Ubungo Km 54.27, Kigamboni Km 42.11, Temeke Km 52.71, and Kinondoni Km 48.33 where he has given an opinion to contractors with qualifications and the ability to do good work to apply for the job as soon as it is announced .
Chalamila has said that President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan is determined to remove the challenges facing the people, so he has asked the people to be calm due to the situation they are experiencing caused by the destruction of the road due to the heavy rains that continue to fall.
