Executive Director Muhimbili National Hospital Prof. Mohamed Janabi has said that the hospital will continue to provide state-of-the-art treatment including hip and knee transplants in this country with the aim of reducing the inconvenience and costs of following such treatment abroad.
Prof. Janabi has said this, while talking to journalists about the official start of a special hip and knee transplant camp in collaboration with a hip and knee specialist with more than 30 years of experience from India, Dr. Venuthuria Ram Mohan Reddy, the 5-day camp has started today.
Prof. Janabi added that together with Dr. Venuthuria Ram Mohan Reddy local experts have enough expertise and knowledge in the area of ​​hip and knee transplantation, so what is happening now is to increase more knowledge of how this treatment is done in the world.
“This is not the first time we have done this treatment in our Muhimbili-Mloganzila hospital, we have treated about 173 patients and now they are doing well, this hip and knee transplant surgery is safe, so there is no reason for anyone to stay in pain when there is a solution to the problem” added Prof. Mr
