The Ministry of Health has said that the medical services that had stopped now have officially started to be provided on August 13, this year after an agreement between the two parties.
The statement, issued yesterday by the Ministry of Health through its National Health Insurance Fund, said that the government has held talks with the Aga Khan and agreed that medical services will continue as usual until it is announced otherwise.
The statement which is signed by the Acting Director General, Mrs. Grace Temba said that NHIF members should continue to receive medical services as usual throughout the country in centers that are registered with NHIF.
The statement said that if any member faces a challenge, he should contact the nearest NHIF offices or call the customer service number 199, where these services are provided 24 hours a day.
