[Dodoma] Minister of Mines, Mr. Anthony Mavunde has said that he is satisfied with the progress of the construction of the Ministry of Mines Headquarters Building Project that is ongoing in the Government Town Mtumba in Dodoma, his expectation is to see the project implemented by the National Housing Corporation (NHC) completed on time.
Minister Mavunde said yesterday when he visited the project to inspect its progress that he congratulated the contractor for the efforts he continues to make to ensure that the building is completed on schedule.
Mr. Mavunde has asked the contractor and consultant Elekezi who is the Tanzania Building Agency (TBA) to complete the building within the scheduled time so that the Ministry can provide services quickly and efficiently to the stakeholders due to the availability of all offices in one place.
“I congratulate NHC, in recent days there have been very big changes and you have focused on the quality we wanted”, said Mr. Damage.
Also, Minister Mavunde has assured the Contractor and the guiding consultant that the Ministry will ensure that it fulfills its obligations to ensure that all procedures are completed quickly to stop the technical activities being completed.
In another step, Mavunde has asked the Management of the Ministry and the contractor to look at the way that will enable the building to carry the image of the Ministry of Mines which goes hand in hand with the activities of the Mining Sector, adding “we want to see an identity that will show that this is the Ministry of Mines,” has emphasized Minister Mavunde.
The Guidance Counselor from TBA, architect Weja Ng’olo has said that they have great confidence in the contractor to complete the construction on time due to the arrival of the necessary equipment that will enable the continuation of other stages of construction.
A contractor from NHC, engineer Peter Mwaisabula has said that the Corporation will ensure that the project is completed on time.
